Nellore: Education has the power to transform the world if used in the right way, Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer said while addressing the convocation ceremony of Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) in Nellore.

Speaking as the chief guest, the Governor urged students to see education as more than just a means to obtain degrees. He emphasised that learning should contribute to positive change in society and help build a responsible and value-driven generation.

He encouraged students to adopt moral values, discipline, and a spirit of service, noting that true education is reflected in knowledge, skills, and character combined. Referring to global leaders such as Jawaharlal Nehru and Nelson Mandela, he said education remains one of the most powerful tools for social transformation.

Governor Nazeer also stressed the role of universities in shaping leadership and fostering social responsibility, saying they should go beyond being academic institutions and become centres of innovation and character building.

He further highlighted the importance of adapting to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and ensuring that educational institutions evolve with changing global trends.

The convocation ceremony was attended by graduating students and research scholars, whom the Governor congratulated and urged to contribute to the nation’s development in the future.
