NASA has announced the four-member crew for its upcoming Artemis III mission, scheduled to launch in late 2027. NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman revealed the team during a ceremony in Houston. The crew includes NASA astronauts Andre Douglas, Frank Rubio, and Randy Bresnik, along with Italian astronaut Luca Parmitano.
The Artemis III mission will conduct a crucial spacecraft docking demonstration in Earth orbit, testing lunar landers developed by SpaceX and Blue Origin in space for the first time. The mission follows NASA's successful crewed lunar flyby and serves as a major milestone in preparation for Artemis IV, which aims to achieve NASA's first human moon landing since 1972. Artemis IV is currently targeted for launch in 2028.
