Police have revealed that the mass shooting at the Old West End Festival in Toledo, Ohio, on June 6 was sparked by a dispute between two rival groups.

According to Police Chief Michael Troendle, an argument escalated into a physical confrontation before gunfire erupted around 5:30 p.m. At least 12 people, aged between 14 and 61, were injured in the shooting. Most victims were in their early 20s, and all are reported to be in stable condition and recovering.

The annual festival, attended by hundreds of people, was celebrating with live music, food vendors, and family activities when the shooting occurred. Organizers later canceled the remaining events, citing safety concerns and respect for the victims.

Investigators have identified several persons of interest, but the suspected gunmen remain at large. Police have recovered two firearms believed to be connected to the incident and say the investigation is making steady progress.
