Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday urged citizens to act responsibly amid the ongoing tensions in West Asia. He appealed to people to follow the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and embrace the spirit of “My Nation-My Responsibility” during challenging times.

Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the Bollineni Institute of Skill, Education and Research (BISER) at Nidamarru in Amaravati, Naidu said Amaravati was emerging as a “Quantum Valley.” He stated that major companies such as IBM, Tata Consultancy Services and Larsen & Toubro were setting up operations in the state.

The Chief Minister announced that Andhra Pradesh would soon house India’s first quantum computer, with a 133-qubit system expected to be operational by December this year.

Naidu urged people to reduce petrol and diesel consumption, encourage work-from-home practices and avoid unnecessary expenditure and luxury foreign travel. He advised citizens to minimise oversized vehicle convoys, prefer domestic tourism over international trips and exercise restraint in discretionary spending, including gold purchases.

Highlighting the impact of global conflicts and fuel supply disruptions, Naidu stressed the importance of economic discipline and energy self-reliance. He also called for faster implementation of green energy initiatives, greater adoption of rooftop solar systems and promotion of decentralised power generation.
