A.P. CM N. Chandrababu Naidu urged C. R. Patil to resolve pending issues and support the completion of the Polavaram Project by 2027 before the Godavari Pushkarams.
During a meeting in New Delhi, Naidu said he had visited the project five times and aimed to complete the first phase reservoir up to 41.15 metres. He informed that the new diaphragm wall was completed on April 2, 2026, and works on Gap-1 and Gap-2 were progressing rapidly.
The CM requested withdrawal of Stop Work orders issued in 2011 related to pending public opinion collection in Odisha and Chhattisgarh. He also sought Central funds for canal expansion, Har Khet Ko Pani scheme, and discussed issues related to the Almatti dam height increase and Upper Krishna Project Phase-III.
