A new report by the World Meteorological Organization and the Copernicus Climate Change Service reveals alarming trends across Europe. In 2025, nearly the entire continent experienced above-average temperatures.

The year also set new records for wildfires, rising sea temperatures, and intense heatwaves.
According to the European State of the Climate report, at least 95 percent of Europe faced higher-than-normal heat. Wildfires alone destroyed over one million hectares of land. Experts warn—this is yet another sign of worsening climate change.
