American Telugu Association (ATA) successfully hosted a well-received Chess Tournament in Exton, Pennsylvania. More than 100 young players participated in the event, showcasing remarkable talent, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship.
The tournament was conducted under the supervision of Joshua Anderson, Founder of the Tribidges Chess Club and President of the Chess Journalists of America.
Competitions were held in both Rated and Non-Rated categories, and winners in each division were awarded trophies. All participants also received certificates of participation in recognition of their effort and engagement.
The event is being coordinated under the leadership of ATA President Jayanth Challa and President-Elect Satish Ramasahayam Reddy, along with the broader ATA leadership team including Board of Trustees (BOT) members Raju Kakkerla, Parmesh Bheemreddy, and Hanu Thirumalreddy.
Regional Directors Arun Rudra and Satish Banda, along with Regional Advisors Kiran Alla, Prashanth Guduguntla, and Mahesh Dachepalli, and other executive committee members contributed to the successful execution of the event.
Organizers and participants received appreciation from several community members, who noted that the tournament further strengthened interest in chess among Telugu youth.
Meanwhile, organizers also extended an invitation to participate in and help make the upcoming 19th ATA Conference and Youth Convention, scheduled from July 31 to August 2 at the Baltimore Convention Center, a grand success.
