Indian culture is all set to shine once again in vibrant style in the United States. Grand arrangements are underway for the “Saree Walkathon 2026”, scheduled to take place on June 13, 2026, in Leander, Texas. Organized by Mehfil Marigold Events, the unique concept “Saree with Sneakers” will see women walking, jogging, and running while dressed in traditional sarees.

The event will begin at 6:30 AM at the Overlook Pavilion in Lakewood Park, featuring both 3K and 5K routes. Open to women of all age groups, the walkathon will also include a special Mother-Daughter Walk segment as one of its major attractions.

Blending traditional sarees with sporty energy, the event promises vibrant cultural vibes, group photo sessions, fun awards, and an atmosphere full of celebration. Organizers say the walkathon aims to promote women’s health, fitness, and self-confidence, with a wellness speaker scheduled to deliver a special session.

To make this year’s event even bigger, vendor registrations have also been opened. Organizers are calling it “not just a walk, but a movement,” encouraging the community to come together in celebration of culture, wellness, and unity.
