A tragic accident occurred in Maharashtra’s Sangli district, where six devotees lost their lives after a wall collapsed inside a temple premises during the Margubai Devi Yatra celebrations. The incident took place on Tuesday night at Motevadi village in Jat taluka. Due to heavy rain and strong winds, hundreds of devotees gathered under sheds near the temple wall for shelter.

Suddenly, the wall and metal sheets collapsed, trapping several people under the debris. Police and rescue teams rushed to the spot and launched rescue operations immediately. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment.

According to Sangli SP Tushar Doshi, around 350 devotees were present at the temple premises during the incident. Officials confirmed that 14 people suffered serious injuries and their condition remains critical.
