Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy strongly criticized both the Congress and BRS parties during his speech at the Parade Grounds meeting. He alleged that under the previous BRS rule, Telangana had become a hub for corruption and illegal activities. He also expressed dissatisfaction with the current Congress government.
Kishan Reddy said that the BJP had won eight Lok Sabha seats and two MLC seats in the previous elections, and expressed confidence that the BJP flag would fly high in Telangana in the coming elections. He accused the BRS of pushing the state into decline during its ten-year family rule and claimed that under the two-and-a-half-year rule of Revanth Reddy, the people of Telangana were suffering.
He stated that the BJP fulfills every promise it makes. Criticizing Congress further, he alleged that Revanth Reddy had once said, “Congress means Muslims, and Muslims mean Congress.” He also claimed that Congress lacks commitment to Hindu ideology.
Highlighting the Centre’s contribution to Telangana’s development, Kishan Reddy said that the Union Government has been providing massive funding for high-speed rail projects and several infrastructure sectors. He added that 80% of the funding for the fine rice distribution scheme comes from the central government.
