Hyderabad District Election Officer R.V. Karnan, who is also the GHMC Commissioner, has set strict daily targets for voter coverage. Each Booth Level Officer, or BLO, has been assigned to cover 100 voters per day, while supervisors have been given a target of 1,000 voters daily.
These instructions were issued during a review meeting with Electoral Registration Officers and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers. The focus of the meeting was to assess progress in voter mapping ahead of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.
Karnan directed all officials to complete the assigned targets without fail by May 5.
