MCX has launched futures contracts on crude sunflower oil to help market participants manage price volatility and exposure to global supply-demand dynamics. With India importing nearly 2.8 million tonnes of its annual crude sunflower oil consumption, the contract aims to provide importers, refiners, processors and traders with an efficient risk-management mechanism.
