Indian benchmark indices ended Monday's trading session with marginal gains as investors balanced positive domestic corporate earnings against concerns over rising crude oil prices and escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

The BSE Sensex climbed 43.27 points to close at 78,542.44, while the NSE Nifty 50 gained 13.15 points to end the day at 24,583.80. Both indices traded within a narrow range throughout the session, reflecting cautious investor sentiment.

Among the top performers, Titan, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Infosys, and Tata Steel posted healthy gains, helping the indices remain in positive territory. On the other hand, stocks such as State Bank of India (SBI), ITC, NTPC, and TCS witnessed selling pressure, limiting the overall upside.

Market participants remained concerned about the sharp rise in Brent crude oil prices, driven by continued tensions in the Middle East, particularly around the Strait of Hormuz. Higher crude prices could increase inflationary pressures and impact India's import bill, prompting investors to remain cautious.

Despite these global concerns, strong quarterly earnings from several companies provided support to the market. Analysts believe that healthy corporate performance and resilient domestic economic fundamentals continue to strengthen investor confidence.

Experts expect the market's near-term direction to depend on upcoming inflation data, global crude oil movements, and further developments in the Middle East. Investors are advised to remain selective and focus on fundamentally strong stocks amid continuing market volatility.
