In a major move in the artificial intelligence industry, SpaceX has announced the acquisition of Anysphere, the company behind the popular AI coding assistant Cursor, in an all-stock deal valued at $60 billion.

The acquisition comes just days after SpaceX's historic IPO and strengthens its position in the rapidly growing AI market. Cursor, known for its AI-powered coding platform used by major companies like Adobe, Stripe, and Nvidia, generates around $2.6 billion in annual revenue.

The deal will also give Cursor access to xAI’s powerful Colossus supercomputer. Following the announcement, SpaceX shares surged, pushing the company’s market value above $2.8 trillion and further expanding Elon Musk’s influence in the global AI race.
