An overtaking dispute has allegedly led to an assault in Bengaluru, with Samrat, son of Kannada actor Duniya Vijay, accused of attacking a fellow student.
According to the complaint, Samrat and his friends were travelling in a Gypsy when Manish Gowda and his friends overtook them in an i20 near RR Nagar.Later, when Manish was standing outside RV University on Mysuru Road, Samrat and his friends allegedly confronted him, dragged him into a car and assaulted him.
Manish reportedly suffered injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital. He has filed a complaint with Kengeri police. The DCP (South West) said the complaint has been received and police are looking into the details. An FIR will be registered after preliminary verification. Further details are awaited.
