Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani starrer Awarapan 2 has registered a strong advance booking response ahead of its theatrical release. The film has sold more than 1.25 lakh tickets across the country's leading multiplex chains, including PVR INOX and Cinepolis, reflecting high audience interest.
In addition to the national multiplex chains, the film has also witnessed encouraging advance sales in other cinema networks. Trade estimates suggest the strong pre-release momentum could help the film open in the range of ₹16 crore to ₹21 crore, with expectations of around ₹20 crore on its opening day, subject to spot bookings and audience response.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar, Awarapan 2 features Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, and Suvinder Vicky in key roles. The film is expected to register the biggest solo opening of Emraan Hashmi's career if current trends continue.
The sequel is releasing alongside Batwara 1947, but advance booking trends indicate that Awarapan 2 currently enjoys a clear lead. Industry observers believe positive word-of-mouth could further boost its box office performance over the Independence Day weekend.
