Director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s debut as a lead actor, ‘DC,’ has turned out to be a major success at the box office. Directed by Arun Matheswaran, the crime action drama hit theatres worldwide on the 7th of last month.
Made on a reported budget of around Rs.25 crore, the film went on to collect over Rs.100 crore worldwide, emerging as a blockbuster.
Following the film’s success, producer Kalanithi Maran surprised the key members of the team with premium gifts. Lokesh Kanagaraj, music director Anirudh Ravichander and director Arun Matheswaran were each gifted a premium BMW car. Production house Sun Pictures released a video of the felicitation on social media.
‘DC’ marked Lokesh Kanagaraj’s debut as a lead actor. The film received appreciation for its high-octane action sequences, visuals and Anirudh’s music. Wamiqa Gabbi played the female lead, while Anirudh Ravichander composed the music.
The blockbuster is currently streaming on the popular OTT platform Sun NXT.
