At the grand success celebrations of Peddi held at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad, veteran actor Chiranjeevi showered praise on his son Ram Charan for his performance in the blockbuster film. Speaking at the event, Chiranjeevi said he felt immense pride both as a fellow actor and as a father, adding that Ram Charan had delivered one of the finest performances of his career.

Recalling iconic films like Magadheera, RRR, and Rangasthalam, Chiranjeevi said he never expected another career-defining role like Peddi to arrive so soon. “When I watched the film, I did not see Ram Charan on screen; I only saw Peddi. He completely owned the character,” he said.

The Megastar emphasized that true acting comes from internalizing emotions rather than relying solely on facial expressions. “Ram Charan made audiences laugh, cry, and celebrate with him. That level of maturity in performance comes only when an actor truly feels the character,” he noted.

Chiranjeevi also revealed that Charan suffered a serious eye injury during the film's shoot and praised his dedication and commitment. “There are no shortcuts to success. He worked incredibly hard for this film,” he said.

In one of the most talked-about moments of the evening, Chiranjeevi declared, “From now on, it’s not Chiranjeevi... it’s Charan Jeevi.” The statement drew thunderous applause from fans and became the highlight of the event.

He concluded by saying that Peddi had filled him with a renewed sense of pride as a father, calling Ram Charan a “New Age Megastar” and applauding his relentless pursuit of excellence.
