To build excitement for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Sony Pictures Entertainment India has released a special promotional video featuring the Haryanvi indie duo Banjaare's original song, 'Barsaat.' The collaboration offers an emotional and distinctly Indian interpretation of Peter Parker's journey, resonating with audiences ahead of the film's theatrical release.
The song beautifully reflects Peter Parker's emotional struggles following the ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where MJ no longer remembers him. Through heartfelt lyrics and soulful music, 'Barsaat' portrays his loneliness, sacrifice, and longing, adding a deeper emotional layer to the character's story.
Banjaare members Sumit and Anuj shared that the song was inspired by their own personal experiences with love and heartbreak. They revealed that after watching the trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, they felt an instant emotional connection between Peter Parker's story and the message behind their song. The artists described the collaboration as a proud moment, showcasing Haryanvi music on an international platform.
The duo also expressed their admiration for the Spider-Man franchise, particularly Tom Holland's portrayal of the superhero and the memorable background scores composed by Michael Giacchino. They said being associated with one of the world's biggest superhero franchises is a dream come true.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to release in India on July 30 in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. The newly released promotional track has already generated excitement among Marvel fans and music lovers alike, offering a unique blend of global cinema and Indian culture.
