Telugu film producers strongly reacted to the recent press meet held by exhibitors, stating that the crisis in the theatrical business is affecting not only exhibitors but also producers and distributors. They said the industry cannot move forward through threats, deadlines, or one-sided decisions, and stressed the need for collective discussions to find practical solutions acceptable to all stakeholders.
Producers including Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar, Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, Sahu Garapati, Sudhakar Cherukuri, and Venkata Satish Kilaru attended the media interaction in Hyderabad. Responding to exhibitors’ demand for the immediate implementation of the percentage-sharing system in theatres, the producers acknowledged the financial struggles of exhibitors but pointed out that producers and distributors have also been facing severe losses over the past few years.
