Telugu Association of Southern California (TASC), as part of its 55th anniversary celebrations, is organizing the “TASC 2026 Youth Rapid Online Chess Tournament” for students in collaboration with Chess Klub. The tournament aims to encourage concentration, strategic thinking, and analytical skills among children from an early age.
The online tournament will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM (PST). Interested participants can register until May 15, 2026, organizers said.
Students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 will compete across five categories: Kindergarten, Primary School (Grades 1–3), Elementary School (Grades 4–5), Middle School (Grades 6–8), and High School (Grades 9–12).
TASC President Kondala Rao, President-Elect Venu Reddy, Secretary Shankar Singamsetti, Treasurer Mahesh Nookala, along with other executive committee members, are overseeing the tournament arrangements.
