Even if your face looks youthful and glowing, your hands can silently reveal signs of ageing, say experts. The skin on the hands is thinner, has fewer oil glands, and is constantly exposed to sunlight, making wrinkles and dark spots appear faster. Frequent hand washing and UV exposure increase dryness, causing hands to look older than the face.
Loss of collagen makes the hands appear bony, while veins and tendons become more visible with age. Experts advise regular use of moisturiser, sunscreen, and protective gloves to slow down ageing signs. They also say advanced hand rejuvenation treatments are now available to restore a younger appearance.
