A devastating tragedy has struck Nepal as flash floods claimed the lives of 80 devotees who were on a pilgrimage.
Spiritual leader Sadhguru expressed deep grief over the loss of lives. In a video message, he said Nepal holds a very special place in his heart and recalled receiving the tragic news from group leader Praveen.
Sadhguru highlighted the deep historical and cultural significance of the Kailash pilgrimage, a tradition believed to have continued for more than 12,000 years. He also pointed out that the pilgrimage plays an important role in Nepal’s economy.
Meanwhile, the Isha Foundation has announced major relief support. Isha Nepal will contribute ₹1 crore to the Nepal Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to support flood relief efforts.
In addition, Sadhguru announced that a ‘Kalabhairava Karma’ ritual will be performed on September 3 at the Isha Yoga Center in India for those who lost their lives.
He also said that other flood victims can be included in the ritual if their families provide the necessary details.
