Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Evian on Tuesday to attend the G7 Summit and engage with world leaders on key global issues. In a post on X, Modi said he looks forward to discussions aimed at advancing a more sustainable and prosperous world.

Before arriving in France, Modi concluded his visit to Slovakia and traveled via Geneva, where he was warmly received by Swiss President Guy Parmelin. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening India-Switzerland ties.

Modi’s Slovakia visit was historic as it marked the first-ever visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the country. India and Slovakia elevated their relationship to a comprehensive partnership and signed 11 agreements covering migration, digital technology, defence, education, research, talent mobility, and cultural cooperation.

During the visit, Slovak President Peter Pellegrini conferred the country's highest civilian honour, the Order of the White Double Cross (1st Class), on PM Modi.
