Global pop star Taylor Swift delivered an emotional acceptance speech after being inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame 2026, where she tearfully thanked her family for supporting her early dreams.
Swift, 36, became the youngest female artist ever to receive the honor, marking a major milestone in her songwriting career that began more than two decades ago.
During her 21-minute speech at the ceremony held in New York City, Swift reflected on her family’s decision to move from Pennsylvania to Nashville, saying the sacrifice played a crucial role in helping her pursue music.
Visibly emotional, she credited her parents and brother for believing in her talent from a young age and allowing her to focus on songwriting, which she described as her true calling.
The star-studded event also celebrated other inductees including Alanis Morissette, Kenny Loggins, and members of KISS. Swift’s induction further cements her status as one of the most influential songwriters of her generation.
She was introduced by filmmaker Steven Spielberg and received a standing ovation after her heartfelt tribute.
