Relief finally came for the family of Kanpur-based engineer Chandan Gupta after he was detained in Russia and later released.
Gupta, who works in Moscow, was taken into custody by Russian authorities, leaving his family worried about his safety. His wife, Sneha Gupta, had appealed for help and sought intervention from Indian authorities.
The Indian Embassy in Russia stepped in and sought consular access as efforts began to secure his release.
Finally Back Home
After days of uncertainty, Gupta was released and has returned to India safely. His employer also provided legal assistance during the process.
For his family, the ordeal that began with a detention thousands of kilometres from home has finally come to an end.
What started as a worrying situation abroad has ended with Gupta back home with his loved ones.
