Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2026-27 in Parliament on Friday. Railways received a record allocation of ₹3.5 lakh crore.
The funds will be used for 50 new Vande Bharat trains and modernization of 200 railway stations. A hyperloop pilot project was also announced.
