To commemorate the 250th anniversary of American Independence, the India Association of North Texas (IANT) hosted the grand "America 250 – Engage, Educate, Unite" celebration in Frisco, Texas. The event brought together a large number of Indian-American families and community members and featured a patriotic parade, cultural performances, food stalls, vendor booths, and a variety of family-friendly attractions.
Frisco Mayor Mark Hill attended as the chief guest and addressed the gathering. The event was organized by the IANT leadership, including President Mahendar Rao, President-Elect Deepak Kalra, Vice President Shreyans Jain, Secretary Dr. Janantik Pandya (J.P.), Joint Secretary Kalai Krishnamurthy, Treasurer Aman Singh, Joint Treasurer Bharti Mishra, Past President Rajiv Kamat, along with the Board of Directors and Trustees.
The speakers emphasized the values of patriotism, unity, diversity, and community service. Held at the Frisco Flyers Club, the celebration successfully reflected the spirit of American independence while honoring the rich cultural heritage and contributions of the Indian-American community.
