The Global Telangana Association (GTA) held its board meeting on Saturday in Frisco, Texas. The organization has set a goal of expanding its chapters to 100 countries, said GTA Founder and Chairman Kalavala Vishweshwar Reddy.
Founded in 2023, the Global Telangana Association currently has chapters in 54 countries. Vishweshwar Reddy said the organization is working with the vision of serving as a bridge between the homeland and the countries where Telangana diaspora communities live.
He said GTA is also preparing plans to bring Telangana NRIs together through cultural programs and community initiatives. The organization aims to establish GTA chapters wherever Telangana diaspora communities are present across the world, he added.
Frisco Mayor Mark Hill attended the board meeting as the chief guest. He appreciated GTA for promoting Telangana culture and traditions on a global platform.
Later in the evening, the GTA Dallas chapter leadership was announced during a special program. Cultural performances by local Telangana diaspora members were among the highlights of the event.
GTA Chairman Kesireddy Praveen, President Kethireddy Bapureddy, Vice Presidents Praveen Billa, Madhu and Praveen Kumar, President-Elect Ravinder Gaddampally, EC members Dushanth Reddy, Hari, Sudheer and Vamsi, along with BOT members Amar, Arun, Bindu, Kotya, Krishna, Mahesh, Manmohan, Mohan, Narasimha Reddy, Praveen, Prem, Raghu, Rajender, Suma, Surender, Sushanth and Vijay, among others, attended the event.
From Dallas, Sandeep Jambula, Santosh Cheruku and Kiran Naik were among those present.
