The Mana American Telugu Association (MATA) – New Jersey Chapter is set to celebrate Bonalu Jathara 2026 with great devotion and cultural fervor on July 25, 2026, in Edison, New Jersey. The event will begin at 4:00 PM at the Sai Datta Peetham & Cultural Center, Sri Shiva Vishnu Temple, bringing together the Telugu community to celebrate one of Telangana's most cherished festivals.
The celebrations will feature traditional Bonam offerings to Goddess Mahankali, a vibrant Pothuraju procession, and Kumkumarchana, recreating the festive spirit of Bonalu in the United States. Organizers have invited Telugu families and devotees from across the region to participate in the spiritual and cultural celebrations.
The event offers free admission, and prasadam will be served to all attendees. Those interested in participating as Pothuraju are encouraged to contact the organizers in advance.
