The Plano Balloon Festival is currently underway at Oak Point Park in Plano, Texas, bringing colorful hot air balloons and family-friendly entertainment to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The festival, running from September 17 through 20, features more than 40 hot air balloons, including 12 specially shaped balloons that are attracting plenty of attention.
Visitors can enjoy hot air balloon launches and evening balloon glows, along with skydiving performances, live entertainment and more. A new laser show is also part of this year’s festival.
There is also a dedicated kids’ area featuring rides, crafts and bounce houses.
General admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 3 to 12, while kids 36 inches and under can enter for free. Unlimited ride wristbands are available for $20, while parking costs $10 to $15, depending on the lot.
Since balloon activities are weather dependent, visitors are advised to check the latest schedule and weather conditions before heading to the festival.
