Phoenix, Arizona: Marking the 17th Vardhanthi of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, YSRCP USA is organizing a Blood Donation Drive on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona. The initiative aims to honor YSR's legacy of compassion and public service by encouraging community members to donate blood and help save lives.
The blood donation camp will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM (MST) at the Tempe Donor Center, 1524 W. 14th Street, Tempe, Arizona. The event is being conducted in collaboration with Vitalant, one of the largest nonprofit blood donation organizations in the United States, which supplies blood to hundreds of hospitals nationwide.
The program will feature YSRCP General Secretary and NRI Wing Global Coordinator Aluru Sambasiva Reddy as the Chief Guest, who will address participants virtually through Zoom. Organizers have appealed to Telugu families and the Indian community across Arizona to participate in large numbers and contribute to this life-saving cause.
Interested donors can schedule their appointments through Vitalant using the Blood Drive Code: 100562888 or by scanning the QR code provided on the event flyer. Organizers emphasized that a single blood donation can potentially save up to three lives, making every donor's contribution invaluable.
The organizers said the blood drive is not just a tribute to Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy's memory but also an opportunity to continue his legacy of humanitarian service by helping patients in need of blood.
