NCERT Adds 'Emergency' To Class 9 Textbook, Terms It 'Challenge To Democracy'

NCERT has, for the first time, introduced a section on the 1975-77 Emergency in its Class 9 Social Science textbook, describing it as a major challenge to Indian democracy.
