Indian Kabaddi Player Brijendra Singh Choudhary Stripped of Asian Beach Games Silver Indian kabaddi player Brijendra Singh Choudhary has been stripped of his silver medal from the Asian Beach Games after testing positive for a prohibited substance during the competition. Choudhary, who was part of India’s silver-winning men’s kabaddi team at the event, returned a positive test for brinzolamide, a prohibited diuretic and masking agent, on April 27. The International Testing Agency (ITA) confirmed the anti-doping rule violation on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. According to the ITA, Choudhary has accepted the sanction imposed following the violation. The testing agency handled the case on behalf of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). The Asian Beach Games were held in Sanya, China, from April 22 to 30. India’s men’s kabaddi team secured the silver medal, while the Indian women’s team went one step further to win gold. The ITA said Choudhary was sanctioned for an anti-doping rule violation (ADRV) following the positive in-competition test. His disqualification means the medal he won as part of the Indian men’s team has been withdrawn.
