The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially confirmed the host venues for the 2027 ICC Men's ODI World Cup, which will be played across 12 stadiums in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. The tournament is scheduled to take place in October and November 2027, bringing the 50-over World Cup back to Africa after a gap of 24 years.
Among the 12 venues, South Africa will host matches at eight stadiums: Wanderers Stadium (Johannesburg), SuperSport Park (Centurion), Newlands (Cape Town), Kingsmead (Durban), St George's Park (Gqeberha), Mangaung Oval (Bloemfontein), Boland Park (Paarl) and Buffalo Park (KuGompo City/East London).
Zimbabwe will stage matches at Harare Sports Club (Harare), Queens Sports Club (Bulawayo) and the newly built Fale Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium (Victoria Falls). Meanwhile, Namibia will host matches at the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek, marking the country's first time hosting a senior ICC global tournament.
The 2027 edition will feature 14 participating teams and a revised competition format. The ICC said the event will celebrate the spirit of African unity under the theme "Three Nations, One Heartbeat", while also promoting the philosophy of Ubuntu. A total of 57 matches are expected to be played during the tournament.
ICC Chairman Jay Shah described the tournament's return to Africa as a landmark moment for world cricket, expressing confidence that the event would inspire a new generation of players and further strengthen the game's popularity across the continent.
