Germany and Real Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger has announced his retirement from international football at the age of 33. Rüdiger made his Germany debut in 2014 and went on to make 86 appearances and score three goals. His final appearance came in Germany’s Round of 32 defeat to Paraguay at the 2026 World Cup. He said he was stepping away to make room for the next generation.
