Three persons were burnt alive in a tragic fire accident that occurred while they were sleeping in their house at Kalalwada Colony in Miryalguda of Nalgonda district late on Thursday night.
The deceased have been identified as Vanam Chandrakala (45), her grandson Laxman (16), and her granddaughter Pranathi (14).
Suspected Short Circuit Triggered Blaze
According to reports, the fire is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit. As the flames spread through the house, an LPG cylinder used for cooking reportedly exploded with a loud blast, triggering panic among residents of the colony.
Fire services personnel rushed to the spot after receiving information and managed to douse the flames.
Family Background
Chandrakala was living with her grandson and granddaughter, who were the children of her daughter Dhanamma. After the death of her husband a few years ago, Dhanamma had been staying with her children at her mother’s house in Miryalguda.
Reports also state that Dhanamma had left for Pune three days ago in search of work as a domestic worker.
