The schedule for the 2026 Ashada Masam Bonalu celebrations at the famous Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad has been officially announced by the Endowments Department. One of Telangana's most significant cultural and religious festivals, the grand Bonalu celebrations will be held on August 2, 2026.
According to the schedule released by temple authorities, the festivities will begin with the Ghatotsavam (Edurkolu) ceremony on July 19. The main Bonalu offering will take place on August 2, followed by the traditional Rangam (prophecy ritual) and the Goddess' Gajavahana procession on August 3.

Temple Executive Officer Manohar Reddy, along with temple priests, recently met Sanath Nagar MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav and informed him about the festival schedule. Officials stated that the ceremonial procession of sacred pots will commence on July 19, while the main Bonalu offerings and Rangam rituals will be held on August 2 and 3, respectively.
With lakhs of devotees expected to visit the temple from across Telangana and neighboring states, temple authorities have urged the government to ensure adequate arrangements and facilities. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar assured full support from the government and said a review meeting with officials would be conducted soon to finalize preparations for the annual festival.
