A young man was arrested by Medchal police for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman under the pretext of marriage and later blackmailing her with intimate videos and photographs. The accused, identified as Sadhanala Santosh Kumar from Toopran in Medak district, allegedly threatened to circulate the victim’s nude images and videos on social media.
Following the victim’s complaint, a Zero FIR was initially registered at Jawaharnagar Police Station and later transferred to Medchal Police Station for investigation. Police recorded the victim’s statement, conducted medical examinations, and seized an Oppo mobile phone and two tablets allegedly used by the accused.
The accused was arrested on Saturday and produced before a court, which remanded him to judicial custody. Police have advised young women to remain cautious and not fall victim to such fraudulent relationships and blackmail attempts.
