The Andhra Pradesh Lorry Owners’ Association has extended support to the nationwide “Truck Chakka Jam” protest scheduled from May 21 to 23, 2026. The agitation is being organised by the Diesel-National Committee under the guidance of the All India Motor Transport Congress.

Transport organisations from 62 regions across the country are expected to participate. The protest is against the steep increase in ECC charges, mandatory fitness tests for diesel vehicles every four years, and compulsory ECC tests for Euro-6 vehicles. AIMTC South Zone Vice-President Y.V. Eswara Rao said the new rules are placing a heavy burden on the transport sector.
