CBSE Class 10 students across the country appeared for the first-ever Phase-2 board examinations on Friday under the new National Education Policy reforms. At several examination centres in Hyderabad, many students reappeared for the Mathematics paper, aiming to improve scores from the first phase held earlier this year.
Students said Mathematics was one of the toughest subjects in the initial examination cycle, and the second opportunity gave them confidence to perform better. The new two-phase system allows students to improve marks or clear compartment subjects within the same academic year.
CBSE officials stated that the better score obtained by students will be treated as the final result, reducing pressure and giving students more academic flexibility.
