As devastating floods continue to wreak havoc in Nepal, internationally acclaimed sand artist and Padma Shri awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik has expressed solidarity with the flood victims through a special sand sculpture.
Created at Puri Beach in Odisha, the sculpture is 20 feet wide and 5 feet high and carries the heartfelt message, “Prayers for Nepal.” Pattnaik expressed his condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and prayed for the safety and well-being of the people of Nepal.
He also highlighted the importance of standing together with compassion and humanity during times of crisis.Created with the support of students, the artwork sends a powerful message that borders may divide countries, but humanity unites us all.
