A tragic incident was reported near Ramapuram in Avuku mandal of Nandyal district, where three members of the same family went missing after accidentally falling into the GNSS canal near the head regulator.
According to police, the missing persons have been identified as Aproze (30), his son Arish (7), and Asif (40). Family members said Aproze and Arish are father and son, while Asif is related to Aproze as his brother-in-law.
After receiving information about the incident, Avuku police reached the spot and began search operations with the help of local residents.
The search is being carried out keeping the water flow and depth of the canal in mind. Police may seek the assistance of trained divers if required.
The disappearance of a father, his young son and a relative has caused serious concern among family members. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
