Many child artists who became popular on screen later went on to build successful careers in cinema. Baby Rakshana is one such familiar face, particularly among audiences who watched Tamil-dubbed films.
Rakshana made her acting debut in 2011 with Karthi’s Siruthai, the Tamil remake of Ravi Teja’s Telugu blockbuster Vikramarkudu. She played Karthi’s daughter in the film and won attention for her cute screen presence.
Worked With Popular Filmmakers
Following Siruthai, Rakshana appeared in films associated with prominent filmmakers, including Mani Ratnam and Samuthirakani. However, she eventually stepped away from acting and decided to concentrate on her studies.
She recently completed her Intermediate education. While many expected her to return to the film industry, Rakshana has chosen to prioritise education for now.
Why Did Rakshana Quit Films?
Rakshana remains active on social media, where she shares photographs and videos from her life. She has also received attention from netizens who are surprised by her transformation from a child artist to a young woman.
In an earlier interview, Rakshana reportedly said that she continues to receive film offers, including opportunities to play a heroine. However, she does not feel ready to return to acting immediately.
She said her current priorities are education and classical dance, adding that she would consider returning to films after taking some time and finding a suitable opportunity.
A Future Return to Cinema?
Rakshana has expressed interest in making a comeback when she finds the right project. She has also reportedly expressed a desire to play Mahesh Babu’s mother in a film someday.
For now, however, education and classical dance remain her primary focus, while her social-media presence continues to keep her connected with fans.
