Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s latest film ‘Irumudi’ is enjoying a strong run at the box office. Released on August 21, the emotional action drama has crossed the ₹50 crore mark in India net collections within just three days, according to industry estimates.
The film recorded its strongest single-day performance on Sunday, with collections reportedly growing by around 16% compared with the previous day. The Telugu version has been particularly strong in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where theatres have reported healthy occupancy.
Strong Opening
‘Irumudi’ opened to impressive numbers on its first day, earning around ₹14.80 crore net in India, while its worldwide gross was reported at approximately ₹24.20 crore.
On Day 2, the movie recorded further growth, taking its India net total to around ₹31.40 crore.
Audience Response Drives Collections
The film’s emotional father-daughter storyline appears to be connecting with audiences, particularly in the Telugu-speaking states. Strong occupancy and additional demand have helped the movie maintain momentum through its opening weekend.
The strong theatrical response has also led to celebrations within the Telugu film industry, with actor Nagarjuna calling the film a blockbuster.
Directed by Shiva Nirvana
‘Irumudi’ is directed by Shiva Nirvana and stars Ravi Teja in the lead role. The cast includes Priya Bhavani Shankar, Baby Nakshathra, Sai Kumar, Ajay Ghosh, Ramesh Indira and Swasika.
The film is being seen as an important release for Ravi Teja, particularly after a series of films that did not meet expectations at the box office.
What’s Next for Irumudi?
With the film already crossing ₹50 crore in India net collections within three days, attention is now on whether it can sustain its momentum during the weekdays and achieve a major box-office milestone.
