The long-standing stand-off between Tollywood producers and single-screen exhibitors has finally come to an end. The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, led by President D. Suresh Babu, confirmed that all stakeholders have reached a unanimous agreement to ensure the smooth theatrical release of Ram Charan starrer Peddi.
As part of the temporary arrangement, exhibitors will receive an additional 7.5 percent share if ticket prices are increased. A fixed revenue model has also been introduced for premiere shows. Exhibitors in A-centers will get Rs 25,000 per show, B-centers Rs 15,000, and C-centers Rs 5,000.
The Film Chamber also announced a major structural reform for the Telugu film industry. A permanent percentage-sharing system for exhibitors is expected to be finalized before the next major Tollywood release or by the end of June 2026.
