Movie lovers have plenty of options this weekend as several new films and web series have arrived on major OTT platforms. The lineup includes action-packed spy dramas, crime thrillers, Telugu content and youth-oriented stories.

‘Alpha’ – Netflix

One of the biggest OTT releases this weekend is ‘Alpha’, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh.

The movie is part of the Yash Raj Films spy universe, with the two actresses playing spy agents involved in high-stakes missions and action sequences.

Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol also feature in key roles. ‘Alpha’ started streaming on Netflix on August 28.

‘Newton’s Third Law’

Sumanth’s ‘Newton’s Third Law’ has also made its digital debut.

Directed by Rajesh Karna, the crime thriller revolves around a double-murder investigation and combines crime, action, family emotions and the concept of karma.

Jagapathi Babu plays a significant role in the film.

‘Aakali Rajyam 2026’ – Aha

The classic ‘Aakali Rajyam’, starring Kamal Haasan, explored unemployment and the struggles faced by young people.

The new series ‘Aakali Rajyam 2026’ brings a contemporary take on similar issues affecting today's youth.

The series is now streaming on Aha.

‘I, Nobody’

Malayalam stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy Thiruvothu headline this crime-action thriller.

The story follows an ordinary man whose life changes completely after he accidentally witnesses an incident he was never supposed to see.

The film promises suspense, unexpected twists and intense drama.

‘Part Timers’ – JioHotstar

For viewers looking for a youthful and relatable story, ‘Part Timers’ is another option.

The series follows two young women who work part-time jobs while trying to build a startup. Friendship, financial struggles, youth culture and entrepreneurship form the central themes.
