The American Telugu Association organized the 2026 Women’s Day and Ugadi celebrations in Milwaukee with great enthusiasm and grandeur. More than 350 people participated in the event, making it a grand success. The celebrations began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, creating a festive and spiritual atmosphere. Later, priest Shravan read out the Ugadi Panchangam and explained the zodiac predictions for the Telugu New Year.

On the occasion, Dr. Ashwini Gundelli delivered an informative session on healthy living, explaining important health tips and lifestyle practices for leading a happy and healthy life.

Many women prepared Ugadi Pachadi at home and brought it to participate in the special Ugadi Pachadi competitions organized during the event.

Children entertained the audience with cultural dance performances and traditional skits. The highlight of the program was the presentation of the “Bala Ramayanam” drama, in which more than 20 children took part.

A traditional Telugu feast featuring a variety of delicious dishes was arranged for all the attendees. Participants of the dance and drama performances were presented with ATA certificates. The organizers thanked everyone who contributed to the grand success of the event.
