21 Indians who were stranded in Nepal due to severe flooding have safely reached Delhi. The Ministry of External Affairs said that all of them are from Tamil Nadu. Ministers met the rescued Indians at Delhi Airport, following which they were sent to their respective hometowns.
Speaking to the media in New Delhi on Friday, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that 63 Indian nationals working at the Trishuli Hydropower Project in Nepal had also been rescued.
Meanwhile, he said that 320 Indians and 100 NRIs are reported missing in Nepal. They had reportedly travelled to Nepal for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
Jaiswal also said that around 400 Indians are safe in Tibet on the Chinese side. The Indian Embassy is in regular contact with them, and arrangements are being made to bring them back to India soon.
