Doctors at Fortis Hospital Shalimar Bagh successfully treated a critically ill 17-year-old girl diagnosed with Stage-3 Ewing’s sarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer. The teenager had been suffering from severe breathlessness and swelling on her upper back for more than a year and had undergone alternative treatments without relief, allowing the disease to progress.

She was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition with septic shock, severe hypoxia and dangerously low blood pressure. A medical team led by doctors at the hospital provided immediate ICU care, ventilator support and timely chemotherapy through a multidisciplinary approach, helping stabilise and save the patient.
